Seeing their figures fade away, Li Manning quickly let go of Qin Ruan's hand and chased after them.
"Xiaobao!!!"
She rushed into emptiness, in the vacant living room, no longer able to see the figures of the two envoys and Xiaobao.
She stared blankly in the direction where Xiaobao had disappeared, her blood-red eyes gradually turning pitch-black, looking like a lost soul, even though she was a puppet.
Qin Ruan took leisurely strides up to Li Manning's side.
She patted her shoulder and spoke softly: "Don't look anymore."
Li Manning shook off her hand and turned to stare at Qin Ruan, hostility flickering in her eyes.
"You can't understand the feeling of being a mother, helplessly watching your child leave!"
Qin Ruan's gaze was serene and detached, devoid of the innocence that should belong to her age, only filled with desolate indifference.
How couldn't she understand? How couldn't she know the bitter pain of it?
