Grandpa Huo came downstairs with two children in his arms and handed Huo Anqi over to Qin Ruan. Both of them, holding the children, went to the couch.
"Ah!"
"Ya!"
Huo Yao and Huo Anqi, who usually cling to their parents, leaned forward, wanting to get down.
Their faces broke out into bright smiles, staring intently at the white furball sitting on their uncle's leg.
Xueqiu, under their gaze, already had its fur all puffed up and stayed rigid in Qin Mei's arms.
"Oh my! How is it that they have grown fatter in just a short span of absence?"
Ignoring Xueqiu's terror, Qin Mei tossed it onto the couch, then rose to approach his two nephews.
He went to pick up Huo Yao from his Grandfather's arms. The little one, quite respectful, stretched both his tiny arms, asking to be carried.
Qin Mei placed him on the sofa, landing him right beside Xueqiu by pure coincidence.
Just as he was put down, Huo Yao stretched out his little hand.
"Meow!"
Xueqiu let out a tragic yowl.
