Comet Arthur is a sun-grazing comet, and the orbit of a sun-grazing comet has a distinguishing feature in which the perihelion is located very close to the comet, while the aphelion is located very far away from the comet. It is predicted that at some point in the future, it will come within one million kilometers of the surface of the sun, as determined by its initial orbit around the sun. Its speed toward the sun will be an astounding 427 kilometers per second when it reaches that point.
