Hearing out Lanzo's plea, Nicien thought of what Avilina would think of the situation.
Them being joined by the other remnants from time to time wasn't a new occurrence but... no one had ever come to him for it. It was always through Avilina or the other leaders. His true identity was still a secret after all.
Lanzo seemed to be around the same age as Avilina and Nicien wondered if the two knew each other well. But... why did Avilina never talk about him?
"I will see what I can do," he finally said to the mercenary leader who was hopefully waiting for his response the whole time. "But as you know, I'm on my way to the border and I can only take care of this once I return to the capital. It's not something I can do or decide alone."
