Alex now nearing his apartment is thinking about big Larry proposition about getting some rest but he dismisses the idea he soon spots his neighbours wife taking out the trash. She's dressed in a sundress with a floral pattern and seems to be trying with all her might to lift a large trash bin. Drawing closer Alex notices a strong scent coming from her and seeing her large swollen belly, he thinks to himself " huh, any day now ".
She soon notices Alex and trying to wave hello to him, she loses her grip causing the bin to fall and Alex not wanting to get dirty catch it and throws out the trash for her. Thankful she says " thank for your help " and Alex with an annoyed tone askes " shouldn't your husband be doing this?" and with an embarrassed smile she answers " oh he's working on the kid's room so I didn't want to bother him so I thought I'll do this ".
The curious Ripper just looks at her with one eye brow raised as she explains " I mean he does so much for me and I don't want to be a burden". Alex looking at the little bunny woman sighs as he tells her " if he really cared about you, he would never consider you a burden " before leaving.
Entering his apartment Alex sees his grandmother sitting on the sofa and smiles as he sits next to her. Grans noticing the look on her grandson's face asks " what's wrong my boy? " with Alex answering " nothing ". However, she doesn't buy it as she says " Alex I know when somethings on your mind " with Alex asking " and how could you know? ".
Alex watches on as his grandmother places her small hand on his much larger hand as she says in a loving tone " because you're my boy ". Alex seeing this gesture sigh as he tells her " fine… big Larry offered me a… holiday by going to some... spa " and after hearing of big Larry's proposition, she tells him " take the holiday my boy, you need a good rest ". Of course Alex has not told her what kind of place the grand bathhouse really is but he figured its better she didn't know.
Alex's grandmother now holding Alex's hand with both her hands explains " you being working too hard, never coming home to rest, all you do is cook food for me before going work again ". Alex after a sigh tells Grans " Grans, knowing Larry this might he a scheme or some shit " but Grans tells him " and if its not, please my boy get some rest, constant work isn't good for your health ".
Alex having heard her plead thinks to himself " since when have I ever cared about my health " before asking her " let's say I left, who would feed you? " but instead of waiting for her answer, he leaves the apartment to get some air.
Alex walking down the old dirty street sees a bar and enters. Inside the bar is rather rundown with old wooden tables and stools. At the bar table a Pandari bartender dressed in a slick bartenders uniform, takes note of the Ripper's presence and seeing this imposing mutant in front of him, he nervously askes " what… can… I… do you for…you? " with Alex answering " give me your strongest whiskey, your strongest vodka and mix them it into a large beer jug for me ".
The bartender hearing this pause in shock but seeing the Ripper dreadful glare, he pours him his drink. Nervously the bartender hands Alex his strong drink and as requested, it is in a large beer jug 35cm in height and 15cm wide.
Now with drink in hand Alex sits at a dark table at the corner of the bar and begins drinking. As he drinks, he sighs at the fact the alcohol is not having an effect on his body due he his healing ability. Suddenly his ratman neighbour enters the bar and seeing Alex he grabs a drink and comes over to drink with him much to Alex's annoyance.
" I heard what you did for my wife, thank you so much Alex " he says with a wholesome smile as Alex just stares at him confused. " say Alex do you have a special lady in your life? " his neighbour asked but the Ripper doesn't answer. Instead, he coldly states, " I don't even know your names yet you keep using mine and you're talking to me as if we are old friends ".
Alex's neighbour having heard the Rippers words just stare in shock before asking " did you forget when I introduce myself to you?" and hearing this Alex just stares with his head tilted slightly. The ratman seeing the Rippers confused stare clears his throat before saying " alright then I'll reintroduce myself, my name is Charlie ".
Alex now finally knowing his neighbour name sigh as he tells Charlie " no I don't have anyone else in my life besides my grandmother and even if I did I would make sure she never felt like she was a burden". Charlie hearing Alex words sighs in embarrassment as she says " yeah… " but the Ripper isn't done with his lecture as he asks " you should know how dangerous this place is, what would you do if something happen to her? To your son? ".
Charlie hearing the word " son " just stares in confusion before asking " son? " and Alex realising what he said sighs before explaining " I smelled his scent inside her ". Charlie hearing this laughs saying " ha good one, what are you a doggo haha, I mean a son no way the doctor even said we were having a girl " with Alex saying with a sigh " whatever you say ".
After that exchanged, Charlie begins talking to Alex about his work life while the Ripper having lost interest in the ratman just ignores him, choosing instead to drink the night away. As Charlie talks to Alex about his work life, Alex thinks on the holiday idea before asking Charlie " hey if your boss offered you a holiday would you take it?".
However, Charlie does not answer. " hey I asked you a question " Alex said with an annoyed tone before soon realizing why he didn't answer. Charlie is drunk.
A drunken Charlie begins to rant, saying to the Ripper " it's, about that holiday that Larry guy gave you a right? Well your grandmother, great lady by the way, I love her… we talk all the... a ...time how he she by the way? ". " she's fine " Alex states with concern and Charlie says " oh that good, oh where was I oh yeah you work too hard she said to you should take that holi...day " and with that said he passing out.
Alex has had several jugs of his strong drink while Charlie has had only one glass. Alex growing curious grabs Charlie's glass and after smelling the liquid, he finds out it was watered down beer. Alex now knowing his neighbour is a lightweight just shake his head before leaving and as he leaves he tells the bartender " my… buddy...um…Charlie said he'll pay for all the drinks ". With that stored, the Ripper begins to walk along the cold nights streets as he further think on the idea.
As The Ripper walks the cold night he thinks to himself " is taking a holiday really worth it, do I need the rest no I don't deserve to rest " before soon seeing a young boy and his mother. The pair are of the frogman race and walking down a street the Ripper with kin ears can hear the mother telling her son " I want what's best for you, as all mothers do, so would you please do as I asked " with her son saying " okay mum ".
Hearing this exchange Alex smiles as this reminded him of Grans and remembering how concerned she was about him, he sighs before saying " alright I'll do it for you".
