Its the day of the final match of the tournament, I'm standing outside of the tournament building with Takeda, It seems like he has to say something
"Even if you do lose at least you tried your hardest"
"Does that mean if I lose I'm not doing double training?"
"No, you're still doing that but you have a bit more of my respect"
After all this training He still can't give me a break, senile old man.
We walk inside the building and see Kannna and his teacher already sitting down
I wonder how long they've been here
we sit down exactly opposite of Kannna and his sensei, As were waiting Takeda and I are staring down the opponent.
We sit for about 20 minutes before the announcer starts his speech
"Today is the last day of the tournament, In the final round Hata Sadou is going against Kannna Susumu, you all know the rules so competitors come to the stage.
Takeda whispers something to me
"Be careful and try to end the fight fast"
"Ok"
Like hell, ill take my time beating that little kid's ass, I deserve to let loose after the training I've done.
I see Kannna's teacher whispering something to him too, but I couldn't hear it from where I was, I was too far away.
As I walk up to the stage I decide to talk a little shit to make my opponent lose his cool before the match.
"You're teachers a midget, he like 4 foot 11"
Kannna didn't react.
you know what that one was weak, and considering my current stature I probably am not the one to talk, Let's try this again.
"You look like a girl"
This is the perfect insult for a 7-year-old male, they can't stand being compared to a girl.
He still hasn't reacted, I have no more insults that would be appropriate for a child my age, I'm going to have to find out another way to make him lose his cool.
The announcer speaks
"Let the battle begin"
Before 3 seconds can pass Kannna is already in front of me planning to end the fight.
Announcer Pov:
There's no reason for me to be here, the difference between Kannna and his opponent is like night and day, honestly, I wish for this battle to end as fast as possible.
I start the match and Kannna charges at his opponent
Just as I thought this battle was useless
Wait why isn't Hata laying on the ground, and why is he on the other side of the arena
*6 days before*
Hata Pov:
Yesterday Takeda said he had a technique for me to learn, I was excited so once I woke up I ran the whole way to his house after my morning routine.
"It seems like my stamina increasing but other than that I see no changes to my body"
I knock on Takeda's door and when he lets me in we go straight to the backyard
"Today I'm going to be teaching you a movement technique"
"What's it called"
"I guess I never really gave it a name since I haven't used it"
What type of sensei teaches their student a move they've never used
"For convenience just call it a watered-down body flicker"
"I thought you said I'm not using chakra"
"You're not that's why it's watered down"
"Is that all you're going to be teaching for the entire week
"is that the only thing an untalented person like you can become proficient in, in a week"
This old man really likes to keep my spirits high
*present day*
I practiced a whole week to be able to do that, I hope it at least looked cool
my opponent looks a little bit shaken up I should take advantage
I run towards Kannna with my tessen folded, I get a good hit in before he goes back on offense and comes at me.
I flicker away before he catches me
Takeda said this fight would be hard, he can't even catch me.
As I back away it looks like my opponents charging something up.
maybe I shouldn't speak so soon.
Before I can even flicker away Kannna's on the other side of me and there's a cut on my leg.
How is he so fast? how did he cut me with a wooden sword?
I need to calm down it doesn't seem like he's using the actual body flicker technique but he's definitely using chakra to speed himself up.
It also seems like that attack was just a warning, it basically said that he could end the fight at any time he wanted to.
I Flick myself around trying to confuse Kannna, so I can cut at his throat to get an easy win
The few downsides of the watered-down body flick are that it consumes a lot of stamina since it's not using chakra, and it's slower, eventually, I won't be able to move anymore so I need to end the fight now.
I charge towards his neck, and he hit me with his sword.
Everything fades to black.
