Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Merry a 16 years old teenage girl who has a lovable personality. She was the top student of her class, not to mention her being the most popular girl in school. She study at one of the most prestigious school on her town. Although she has a lovable personality, her parents doesn't. Her parents both have a moderate but decent job. They love her so much but only because of one thing. Her parents are pretentious, they always want to brag. That's the reason why they love Merry so much. She's intelligent, pretty, and good at sports. They always use her achievement to brag to their neighbors. One year later, she started going into college. They decided to enroll her into the most prestigious college in the whole world, "University of All Geniuses". The admission rate there is 1/100 so her being able to get in is such a big thing for her parents to brag about. "Mom, I'm going to miss you so much" said Merry. "I'm gonna miss you too honey" said her mother while driving her into the school. Her mother was not really excited about her though, what she's excited about is her accomplishment that she was gonna brag about. It was her first day at the school so her mom went all out, she bought her the most expensive dress in their town, she also rented a car worth 10,000 dollars each hour. Merry didn't question all of this though, she thought to herself that this was a reward for her because she's quite the achiever. But in reality this was just a ploy for her family to being pretentious. After a while, they arrived at the school gate. Her mother was tending her make up while Merry is picking up her bag. "Mom, are you finished yet?" ask Merry. "Just a little second, here we go, yes I'm all ready now" her mom said. When they went out of the car, her mother saw the difference of status between her daughter and all the students there. She was shocked because she's expecting her daughter to at least stand out but it did the opposite. She was more shocked when she learned that her daughter barely made it at the top 100 in the entrance exam. Her expectation was high because she was the best in her past school and on their whole town. Because of this findings, she became upset towards her. "I thought you were the best of all the best, but no you aren't! You're disappointing!", she exclaimed.
