Ivor could see the impatience rising on the face of his wife, now was the time to talk.
"Just like last time, they refused to listen to me. Now that leaves me no choice but to do this on my own," he said, with a regretful tone.
With the low glow of the light, Zelta could still see the glitter of Jena's misty pupils.
"But why does it have to be you, aren't their other men?" she asked, as a tear escapes her eye. She paused to brush off another one.
"Jena I need to do this. If I don't, who else would?" he explained.
"The inner circle together with the supreme leader are all acting selfishly, and nonchalant towards a matter so serious."
"Isn't this too much of a burden for only one man? Perhaps, there could be some other way, other than leaving behind the one you love," Jena said, with her wet eyes and cheeks, showing her desperation.
