Tobin's father kept on persuading him to join the dark allegiance, but Tobin paid him deaf ears. He had made up his mind already, and he had no intention of changing his mind. One special thing about Tobin was that he could not be easily influenced or convinced by the ideas of other people, no matter how rigid and convincing it seemed, and whenever he had his mind made up to do something, nothing could stop him. He had made up his mind that over his dead body would he have anything to do with De voe.
Tobin was starting to get fed up with the conversation with his father. His father still wouldn't quit trying.
"Aren't you gonna give up already? You know you would never change my mind," Tobin said to him.
"Tobin, why have you refused to finally grow up? Why are you doing this to yourself? Stop this childish behavior and come with me now. Grow up, Tobin, grow up!!" his father yelled angrily at him.
