Zain stood there on the platform, with Sebastian there next to her. He supported her partially, holding her arm around his shoulder, because of the way she constantly staggered. She had loosed plenty of blood, and this had made her so weak to stand firmly on her own. The men were still standing around the platform, like some weird religious scandals, about to perform the most devious practice. She wondered if this was actually how it felt being a prey, a wounded and defenceless prey.
"We're outnumbered. I wonder what they have in mind," whispered Sebastian.
"Yeah, whatever it is, I need answers now. I'm done being messed around with," replied Zain.
