Claire's POV
What an eventful day it had been! As I moved closer to the pub, I reflected on how many patients I had recommended not to drink in order to deal with their issues.
After guiding a soldier through the execution of multiple children, whether they were enemies or not, I needed to let go of a big emotional burden in some way. Before I came in this new city to begin a new career, I had a final interaction with this person.
It doesn't matter.
I'd made a pit stop at my new house on the way to the Harley to acquire the power and snarl of the engine for a stress-relieving ride that would be excellent at this point. After a hard day of driving and only unloading the bare necessities, I was ready for some quiet time with just my two dogs and my belongings in my spacious Tahoe.
