Willie's POV
The strange behavior of Eliza caught my attention as I was unpacking and organizing my belongings in the closet and dresser. I hadn't seen her in a while. Only returning home for the holidays, she had been away from home for several years. In any case, it seemed as if an eternity had passed. Years passed by as if they were a blip on the radar. The saying goes that time flies by faster as you get older. Remember, we had just celebrated her sixteenth birthday, which had been a big deal at the time.
However, she had grown up and was an independent woman now. A real woman in her late twenties or thirties. She appeared to be one as well. Her typical adolescent attitude and pigtails were long gone. That had all been replaced by long, flowing hair, a stunning smile, and a refined, cultured demeanor.
