Brent's POV
As soon as I finished brushing my hair, I went outside and opened the door. As a result, I arrived early to double-check everything and showered before answering the door in my black jeans and a white button-up shirt. If our chemistry was as strong as it appeared, I made a mental note to christen several areas of the room. I took a final look around as the doorbell rang, and my heart began to pound faster in my chest. As I walked up to it, my mind was racing with a million ideas as I yanked the door open with the knob.
"What the hell are you talking about?" To my surprise, a person's face appeared behind the door. With her wide eyes and rosy cheeks, she was still a sight to behold every day of the week in the office. "Yes, I'm Chelle."
"I'm sorry but that's not the case," I respond. As Lara slurred "I have to leave," she turned and walked away. With her gaze fixed on me, I gently grabbed her arm.
