My time in Europe was some of the most unforgettable of my whole life, and we were there for a total of five days. Not because the work was engaging or because I impressed everyone with my knowledge of the telecom industry and my ability to analyze costs — even though I did both of those things, of course.
Those five days were some of the best of my life. Bruce Lawrence was in my bed. In spite of the fact that we were constantly touching each other, we were successful in concealing the fact that we were having an affair.
When the doors to the hotel elevator opened while Chris and Dew were standing there, it was a narrow escape for the three of us who were making out in the elevator. Bruce was on the opposite side of the elevator from me at the time, and I was on one side of it. We exerted a lot of effort to give the impression that we couldn't abide being around each other.
