Stella's POV
I get a text message from my phone when Sebastian's driver is prepared to drop me in front of the condo complex. When I finally get to the phone in time, I find out that it's Carla, one of my roommates.
"Hey, Carla. I'll give you a call in a few minutes, please."
"Sure, Do you mind if I drop by?"
"That works, too." As we wait for the driver to unlock the door. "Mr. Andrew, thank you very much."
"Can you tell me who you're talking to?" is her innocent question.
"That person is the driver for my next-door neighbor. I'll fill you in on the details later. Please tell me when you will arrive?"
"Do you want to meet at 6 p.m?" she asked.
"It's wonderful. You can text me when you're near, and I'll pick you down."
"Okay, no worries, see you later."
After I've finished talking on the phone, I make my way into the foyer. Taking a shower and getting a decent night's sleep are the last things on my mind right now, but I have to feed the cats and let them play after.
A few minutes after I've finished feeding them and letting them play, I receive a text message from Carla letting me know that she's just gotten top-side from the metro entrance a few blocks away. The spinning doors leading into the foyer are where I meet her. Carla's arms are full from carrying so many shopping bags.
"Hey, Carla. I think using the spinning doors with all of those bags isn't the best idea."
"I'm fine, don't worry but this luxurious place is so beautiful. With all the rich gold and red design accents, a dining room like this is a perfect fit."
In an attempt to see the world through her eyes, I take a few steps back.
Before I met her, Carla had been daydreaming about making a name for herself in the world of gourmet dining. In her vision board, which covers a wall in her bedroom, she looks to have achieved all she desires.
A glance across the room shows that she has a full plate. "Come on; let's now look around the kitchen of your boss's condo. I'll be utilizing for this taste-testing session to see what I find."
When I gesture to the elevator bays to the left, she glances at me with a bit of surprise on her face. "You're such a lucky girl, Stella."
"Of course not. I'm just working here as a pet-sitter, that's it."
"Sure. By the way, are you sure your boss won't object if I use her kitchen for a little while?"
We board an elevator and ascend to our destination. As I press the button to send us to the condo unit of Alice. I say, "She won't. Don't worry; she's not here."
Her beautiful blonde hair is flipped to one side of her face as she remarks, "That's good to know."
"Oh, before I forgot, make sure you don't have any cats allergies."
"Don't worry. I don't."
"You have no clue what happened to me this morning," I say to Carla while inside the elevator.
"Then, tell me what happened?"
"I met a super hot rich guy who lives next door to me, but he is so much annoying, hates cats, and kind of pervert, I think."
"What?" She inquires as to the elevator doors open.
"There's a lot to it."
Tucker, Luna, and Luca are waiting for us as soon as we walk through the door. Luca licks my leg.
"You'd better be good today, boy," I say while caressing the top of his head. "Carla, this is where you'll find the kitchen."
As we make our way through the condo's maze of corridors toward the custom kitchen, she shouts, wailing and gasping for breath as we go. Once her things have been placed neatly on the kitchen counter, she turns to look out the window into the sitting room.
"OMG! I get to cook these exquisite delicacies while taking this kind of view!"
"I'm glad you like it but make a quick cook because I'm starving to death right now," I said while laughing.
"Okay, Ms. Stella, It will be ready in no time," she responds while laughing too.
"By the way, want some help?"
"No, thank you, I'm fine. Maybe you could tell me what happened to the neighbor who was so enticing."
"Okay, here's the story. Luca's misconduct began on the day Alice departed. Luca went to his balcony and hid there; while I'll try to get Luca, he suddenly appeared and caught me on his property. So, I apologized to him for the inconvenience that Luca and I had done, but instead of being nice, he told me he did not want to see us again inside his property. So I said yes because I got so scared of him. But unfortunately, Luca came out again and went to his balcony again, but he broke the plant vase this time. I was scared of how he would react, but somehow he wasn't angry with me, but I was just in a towel that time. I forgot to get dressed because I was in a hurry to find Luca. His stares at me made me feel weird as if he was undressing me with his eyes, and unfortunately, I also forgot to bring the key to Alice's condo, so I asked him for help, so I stayed inside his condominium for a little while."
"Oh wow! It appears that Luca is trying to arrange match-making between you and Mr. Hot guy," says Carla.
"Silly! How you say that?"
"According to your story, he looks to behave differently when your neighbor is nearby. And who knows... " She puts a few things in the fridge after opening the door. "Double doors in stainless steel with an icemaker, lower lever freezer, and top crisper? It's incredible. There's still room, too! Stella, you're lucky."
