[BEAM]
I said the name of the fabled skill from Zeus and shot out two beams toward his head. It barely skimmed the opposite sides of him, but it shot through more dirt and rock, incinerating the area around us completely.
"You son of a bitch. You were lying about grieving for your own friends?!" Zeus screamed out to me.
"You think I wanted them around?! They were slowing me down, inevitably, they would've died anyway. Now that I'm free and can use all of my skills without any drawbacks, I wouldn't be worried about them getting in my way." I told him, launching another shot from [Beam] at him with [Titan's Wand +4].
I continuously primed more and more attacks between both of my staffs and shot them off at Zeus. Now, he was dodging through the debris to escape my attacks, which spoke volumes.
He might be strong, but he's not bulletproof.
I shot off [Beam] at pillars underneath him and he jumped up, so I used [Yggdrasil's Bone] to shoot a [Beam] shot off at his head as he jumped upward. It connected and hit him really hard. Blood shot all over the place.
"You son of a bitch!" Zeus screamed out to me.
"You can heal if you'd like. Don't worry, I'll wait." I told him. Zeus pulled out a health potion and I quickly sniped the contents with [Bullet] from [Yggdrasil's Bone], while enhancing my stats with [Blessing] from [Titan's Wand].
"You really are a sadistic asshole," Zeus told me. I smiled.
Zeus was obviously more powerful than me, and if he would just launch an attack on me, I would easily be dead. But, he's not killing. And when I considered why, I realized that he wasn't killing me because he couldn't revive me.
Soul, Ruby... everybody was dead, permanently. And that fact alone should've made me sad, but it didn't.
I wasn't filled with any emotion but hatred and rage. Hatred and rage even surpassed what I felt for Joro. I wanted nothing besides taking Zeus out. To make him suffer, to make him beg me for mercy.
This wasn't some stupid anime. I couldn't summon powers out of my rage, it was just mindless hatred and anger that slowed me down, but I couldn't think about anything. No strategy could pull me out of this rage.
"Is this really what a Hero would do? Challenge an entity that gave him his powers? I could bring you back to Earth. Do you really want that?" Zeus asked me.
"I can't kill you there, so no." I primed my staff again and launched [Slash] at Zeus, barely missing the top of his head. He dodged the skill and jumped backward, sliding against the stone floor with his cheap sandals.
"You shouldn't have taken everything from me... I don't have anything to lose, I don't even see why anything needs to be left of this city, but not until we have some fun." I told him.
Using [Dismanip] and [Bullet], I shot past Zeus's head and changed the trajectory of the bullet. As strands of his hair shot toward me from the missed [Bullet], I jumped over the shot I threw at him, then hit him with [Beam] with a point-blank shot. It put a hole in his chest. From there, I punched him in the face as he began to drop toward the ground.
My melee damage was lacking, but hitting him and feeling his jaw shift in position from my fist satisfied me enough to back off for a moment and regain my composure.
"One last chance, Anima. You stop attacking me and let me take over your body, and I won't break both of your legs. I will bring back all of your friends and they will live happy lives." He told me. I smiled, ready to spew lies.
"Don't be ridiculous! Do you think I want them to come back?! If they came back, I couldn't annihilate you with my Limit Breaker. Go ahead, break my legs! See how useful of a Vessel I can be without them!" Again, I smiled and threw more attacks at Zeus.
"Don't waste my time!" Zeus screamed out to me as well. Zeus, with his one skill, shot another [Bullet] at me. To my surprise, Shima absorbed it and converted the skill to mana.
"Kill!" I heard her tiny voice say.
"Shima...? You're alive...?" I whispered while looking at my left arm. Where the hell did she come from?
While looking at Zeus, I felt a hand grasp my shoulder and push down on it while he lifted his body up. Fuki spit up blood on the ground and looked at Zeus again. He used one of my potions and fully healed himself, wiping the residue from the potion from his mouth and throwing the bottle out.
"You're a terrible shot, Zeus. Anima, I'll follow your lead. Whatever you want me to do... let's take him out." Fuki said beside me.
I nodded and with [Titan's Wand +4] and [Yggdrasil's Bone] in my hands, I looked toward Zeus again.
"Give him a reason to fear us," I told Fuki. Flames enveloped his sword and Fuki smiled just as wickedly as Zeus.
If nothing else, I at least have Fuki to help me take out Zeus. That's all I needed.
And... after this battle, I would recover the remains of everybody else and bury them where they should go. I couldn't worry about that right now... I don't want to.
"Anima, help?" Shima asked me while Fuki, Zeus, and I were at a stalemate.
"However you can... Shima. We'll take out Zeus, and save everybody!" I told her.
"What a personality change... are you sure that isn't a lie?" Zeus asked me again.
"You're very easy to manipulate. Do you think I'm not hurt by you killing all of my friends? You should know... once I catch you, and Fuki has dismembered you, I don't plan on letting you die easily. Remember, I have the best potions in the world. You won't die until I tell you to." I told Zeus. I could see him shudder.
