"You people are... insufferable! People are dying in New Olympia, they're dying here, several people are trying to keep your sorry asses alive, and all you care about is your goddamn stuff! You believe your trinkets and shiny objects are more important than your friends' lives, and you're terrible people. Every last one of you is corrupted of the pure innocence that allows you to be a normal human, and you're materialistic shit bags who deserve none of it." I yelled at everybody, and they stood silent and let me do it.
"I'm letting all of your stuff burn because one of you even lied to me while trying to save his sorry ass. I have to listen to you lie to me, when my friends' lives are on the line, and I have to deal with it. If any of my friends died because of your lies, I would've come back to find you and gut you like a damn fish. I don't have patience for such terrible beings, and you would be punished to lengths you couldn't fathom." I told them. And, just to top off the hurtful things I said, I let go of a big secret.
"Being summoned as the Third Magic Hero and being forced to serve people as rotten as you are the worst fate I could've asked for. As I stand here and look at every one of you, I can't help but think I'm in Hell." I told them.
"The Third Magic Hero?! This is the Demon Guy! This is Anima!" They commented. I looked up at them in even more disgust.
"Hex! You're working with the Third Magic Hero? Is he even going to be able to fight Zeus? This guy looks pathetic!" They told her.
"Come on! Anima is a lot stronger than he looks! Don't insult him for it!" Hex tried to defend me, which I appreciated, but it was worthless.
"And here I am, the most pathetic-looking magic hero, coming to risk my life to save your sorry asses. I don't see any of you stepping up to fight Zeus. I think I know who the real bitches are." I said, crossing my arms and looking at everybody standing around.
"We know our strength little kid. We wouldn't fight him because we would lose." An older man commented.
"That makes one of us. Especially you, considering you've got both feet in the graveyard." I told him.
I was upset to see that my reputation was still so terrible here, but they would see... they would all see what I'm capable of as soon as the fight begins. I'll save all of them and then ignore their praise if they even gave it. They would probably ask for their stuff before asking about my health. I might accidentally burn it...
I told Hex that we should head back and she kissed her husband goodbye, splitting off and running up to catch up with me.
"I'm sorry they didn't respect your wish to save them... but I respect you for going out of your way to make sure they're going to be okay! You even met Papiya... you're pretty brave, you know?" Hex told me.
"Thanks, but I don't need the compliments. What I need is motivation to not purposefully destroy everything they own. I just feel bad that they won't get any attention from me after I beat Ono and walk past them." I told Hex. Hex laughed.
"I would kill to see that. You got everything you need?" Hex asked me. Her kind words soothed my soul from those impure demons behind me.
"Yeah, I think so. Hey, thanks Hex. I really appreciate everything you've done. We'll organize our front and then... we'll be off to save New Olympia, or whatever may remain. Is there anything you need here? Or are you ready to go?" I asked her one last time. She shifted the strap of a backpack along her back and nodded aggressively.
"We have a job to do now, Anima. Let's do it! Oh, and you can have Shima back." She said. Hex picked the slime up from the top of her head and handed it over. Once Shima landed on my body, she sat on my shoulder and smiled while we turned toward Fuki and the others.
I learned everything I needed to know, and now have a cure for this memory loss. Maybe my memory had been wiped, and I wouldn't really know any specific details until I beat Paipya's game that she wants me to play so badly. Well, no matter, I'll take these things as they come.
I walked over to Fuki after around ten minutes of walking and with everybody grouped, we went over the plan one last time.
"Does everybody have everything covered? Soul, if you have any questions, will you contact me with [Clairvoyance]?" I asked her. Soul nodded and I threw her some health potions, three to count, along with everybody but Ipa. I gave him twenty because of his inventory space.
"You are not to touch these unless you're giving these to nearby citizens of our friends who are on the brink of death. Ipa, if I find out you used these for any other reason and either the citizens or our friends are dead, while you get to live. I will kill you." I told him.
"I would want you to do that to me. I understand, and it won't happen. So, are we all ready?" Ipa asked. I turned toward Ken, and he nodded. Then Soul, which she nodded. Everybody nodded until I got to Hex, when she slapped me on the shoulder and looked toward the door.
"Let's do this, Anima!" Hex shouted out to me. She opened the door and we all began our journey, up to the place I once trained with Zeus. This was it, it was our final journey in New Olympia!
This is the end!
