"This is a lot of words... where is the person's name?" I went through the paper while speaking to Hex, but I couldn't find the name at all. Just a lot of words I couldn't read...
"Oh, who was calling my name earlier? Was that you, Shima?" Hex said with a smile, patting the top of Shima's gelatinous form.
"She can talk now. Hey, why did that happen all of a sudden? Why did Shima start speaking?" I asked Hex, hoping for an answer.
"Well, probably the mana, but maybe she's just getting older. How long have you had her now?" Hex asked.
It got really confusing when Hex pulled Shima off of my left arm again. I still couldn't believe it had regenerated completely without magic... and now Shima was now a proper slime again... except now she was an even more loyal pet.
Her entire existence always confused me, but now it's getting worse, so I was really confused now. She could even move off of my body, so it had to have been the mana, right?
"About... three weeks now, I think. I don't know, I haven't been keeping track of time properly." I told her.
"It's just been 'I need to kill Joro' over and over again!" Ruby said, puffing out her chest and trying to imitate my voice using a deeper tone. She got a laugh out of everybody, but she was right in the end.
"In that paper, I ordered for the closest possible Hero to group up and help us. As soon as he gets here, we'll form a plan and attack as soon as possible. I'm sorry to take the reigns from you, Anima, but I'll be the leader of the group for now. This is no longer your domain, Mr. Magic Hero. This is mine. Does everybody agree to my terms?" Hex asked.
Shima agreed first, and then I agreed, and then everybody else did.
"I'm surprised you agreed so willingly, Anima. I thought you liked being the leader." Ipa said, joining in on Hex's lead now as well.
"Not really. It's exhausting, and that'll be a nice change of pace." I said, putting my hands behind my head to show that I was relaxing. Although, Soul didn't buy it.
"No, he's dying inside right now. Anyway, that means that Hex gets Shima now, right? Since she's the leader? Shima, can you move to her head?" Soul asked.
"Huh?" Shima made a weird noise and jumped, just like a classic slime would in one of my games. A weird movement with her body and she jumped to the top of Hex's head and rested on top of it as she deflated. Dammit, I missed Shima already. It was like my second half.
"Aw, look, Anima's jealous!" Ruby teased me again. What was with her doing that again?!
Everybody started laughing and I was left with a pout and looking away. Hex reassured me by saying that Shima would return to me one day with an annoying smile.
