"We'll talk later. Everybody's starting to wake up, so you should get going. Good luck, Anima." Ruby said, working to push me out of the camp.
Hmph... leaving on a cliffhanger was irritating, but she was right, I had to leave to go impress Zeus now.
I left the camp and entered the city to see the beginning of the festival. Not even all of the colorful lights within the stone city were lit yet, but now was a better time to move forward than ever.
I walked right back to the guards, realizing I wasn't even gone for that long and stood confidently against them.
"So, does Zeus want to see me? These potions are getting heavy." I enticed the soldiers and they nodded. They were onboard?! That was great news!
"Right this way sir." The soldiers said. They freed a path and waited for me to walk in between them, before meeting back in the middle and walking right behind me.
The inside of the temple was insane. Hieroglyphs littered the walls with ancient legends of Zeus, and some of the hieroglyphs even showed off Planet Earth. It was inarguable that a person was reincarnated here and told the people of Erinautis about our planet.
"Greetings, Mortal. You have come to my attention thanks to the view of my soldiers, but I haven't seen anything yet. So, state your business and why you think you're important." Zeus said to me. His voice was thundering... no pun intended.
He was a large man, dressed in a white cloak with air holding up his clothing as it spiraled around his muscular body. I was more than confident he could crush me with his hand if he so wished for it.
I had to look up to him like I was his four-year-old child. He must've been at least eleven feet tall.
"Well, I have some pretty good potions, would you like to see the quality?" I asked him. Zeus made a weird noise with his throat and nodded.
"Of course, but I need you to drink it first to prove it isn't poisoned." He stated. I nodded in agreement and chugged half of the potion, to deter any thought, before giving it to Zeus. His hands were so big it was like handing him a small rock. He slowly shimmied the top of the potion off and drank it as well, looking at the intricate details of the potions after drinking it.
"A maximum quality health potion... so? Why should I care? I can go out and get one of these if I need one." Zeus told me while crossing his arms.
"Sure, you could go out and get one if you needed one... but what if you had somebody to make them for you?" I asked him, pulling another out from my back. I only packed five, so I had three left.
"Hm... and how should I know that you're not just stashing them?" He asked me.
"I guess that's a fair thought," I told the behemoth of a man. "So, let me convince you. Give me some potion ingredients and I'll make one for you. And, if you get me the right flower, I'll change the color of it for you as well." I added.
Zeus agreed to my terms and told me to make a yellow health potion... by some shred of luck, I had one already. I decided to make a new one just in case and handed it to him with a smile. "Impressive... this one is maximum quality as well. Potion man, I have one more test for you. Collide two potions of maximum quality to prove you can make them, and I'll listen to your request." Zeus told me.
"C-Collide...? How would one do that...?" I asked him. He was talking about things I didn't know, even if they sounded possible.
"You don't know how to collide them? Haha! Here, tell you what. Take these two potions and combine them for me." Zeus handed me two potions off of his belt and I grabbed them joyfully, only to see two mind-numbing descriptions.
[Buff All Stats - Permanent]
[Boost Height - Permanent]
Huh?! Permanent?! You could make them permanent?!
"Combine these... I can do that." I said to him. Zeus smiled with a nod and turned around to his soldiers.
Combine potions... that's right! I always used ingredients to make potions, but never used potions as ingredients themselves!
I pulled a knife out and drew some blood from the top of my finger, using it to make a potion that combined the two. I used two ingredients, as I normally did, but I used potions as the ingredients this time around.
Doing that, I was able to make a potion that only a God could drink... the Zeus potions, I'll call it.
"I've decided to name this the Zeus potion. It will permanently buff your stats to the highest degree and probably make you as tall as possible. Does this qualify?" I asked Zeus.
He drank it without even asking me to check it. When he did, Zeus grew five feet into the air and got even more muscular than before.
"This is amazing! Hey, you have a real talent Potion Mortal. So, what great service can I do for you?!" He asked me. I seemed to have impressed him a lot... I guess this counts as a pretty big win on my part.
"Well, it's a lot, but I want to have the opportunity to learn how to wield the air element from such a Godly figure as yourself. Do I have that privilege?" I asked him.
I figured by acting like I'm under him, I could persuade him to give me what I wanted. Luckily, it worked.
"Of course! We can even start today if you'd like." Zeus explained to me.
"That sounds great, will I need anything?" I asked Zeus, getting ready to become more powerful.
"Not really, just an Air Stone, but I have that for you. Come with me Potion Mortal." Zeus said, waving his hand to lead me to another room further in the temple.
Wait... did he just grow five whole feet?! Why did I ignore that for so long?!
