"Let go of me!" asked Septi still in revolt.
"No way!" Adipati shouted still willing to save Septi.
With the rest of his strength, Adipati had pulled up Septi's hands again. Finally, with considerable effort, Adipati managed to save Septi.
The two sat weakly on the balcony of the room with their bodies leaning against the balcony fences. Their breath is yet breathless from exhaustion.
"Why don't you just let me die! Why must save me! Didn't earlier you say to Sonya that if I die in front of you, you wouldn't even care!" Septi protested, sulking because her suicide plot was foiled by Adipati. Her tears kept flowing because they wouldn't stop.
"Don't you go crazy, Septi! Can't you think with sense!" Adipati retorted with a flushed face. He was upset because he felt that he had wasted his time in rescuing Septi who he thought was utterly useless.
"Stop pretending to care. I don't have any idea about how you think, Dip! You should be happy if I die. Because it means you're free of this fucking wedding drama. You no longer need to pretend in front of your parents!" Septi shot with bruised eyes. She wiped off her trail of tears roughly.
"I don't care about you anyway. I just don't want to get in trouble because of your unnatural death! So, stop doing crazy things that can make difficulties for me. Got it?!" Adipati had a warning. His face is very serious. Made Septi instantly realized that Adipati had to rescue her for the sake of his own.
Septi nodded. "Okay. Next time I'll do it somewhere else. You just need to calm down, and when it does, no one will blame you," Septi said. She spoke calmly so sudden as if nothing had happened.
"Stop thinking about shit like that, Septi Adelia!" Adipati again gave his warning. His eyes stare at Septi with that stare which is hard to decipher. Honestly, there's a hint of compassion when he realizes that his first wife wasn't as strong as she seemed.
"Stop talking about it, I'm bored," Septi said, and stood up. She's starting to get better. "Why did you come here all of a sudden? What do you need?" asked Septi finally. She chose to look at the heavens that began to rain down upon the earth while waiting for Adipati's answer.
"As we agreed earlier, I need your phone number. So that we can communicate with one another whenever it comes to the important things related to my parents," Adipati explained a valid reason.
Just now, after finishing the second round with Sonya, Adipati who felt important to have Septi's phone number went straight to Septi's room without saying goodbye to Sonya who was still in the shower. Adipati refused to take the risk because he believed that Sonya would not allow him to meet Septi. Although he did explain his purpose.
"Okay. You asked for a phone number, right? Relax, I'll give it to you," said Septi without any burden. She then spread out her arms toward Adip. "Give me your mobile phone," she continued.
Adipati just did that. He took out the newest model of this item from the apple logo from his pants pocket. "This. Write your phone number quickly," Adipati ordered.
Septi picked up Adip's phone and immediately typed in her twelve-digit phone number. After finishing it Septi gave that phone back to Adip without saying anything.
"I'll try to contact you right away. Make sure, if you really give me your real phone number!" Adipati then looked for a phone number that had initially been named SA by its owner.
Adipati called immediately. His brow furrowed as the operator answered his call. "You didn't lie to me, did you, Septi?" Adipati asked suspiciously.
"No!" Septi replied casually. Immediately she took out his phone inside the small bag that had been on her shoulder this whole time. "Oops! My phone's dead. No wonder it doesn't work," Septi said, immediately turning on her phone.
A few seconds after her cell phone turned on, there were fifty missed calls and twenty chat messages from Gerry. 'What's the point of all this if you break your promise to me, Gerry!' couched Septi inside her heart without intending to read the chat messages Gerry had sent her.
"Did you save it?" Adipati ascertained.
Septi nodded. "Yes!" Septi answered truthfully. She has been keeping Adipati's number as Mr. Devil.
"Okay. I'll be on my way then. Poor Sonya, I left her behind for too long. But, remember. No more foolish acts, Septi Adelia!" Adipati repeated his warning. After that without waiting for a response from Septi, Adipati left her on her own.
After Adipati getaway, Septi goes straight into the room. He laid his body on the bed trying to rest to relax his mind and relax his body.
Just been a second Septi closed her eyes, the ringer of her phone was disturbing the peace. Septi thought it was Adipati. So, without seeing the id on the screen of her phone, Septi answered him immediately.
"Hello, anything else?" asked Septi without further ado.
"Honey! So you didn't pick up my calls on purpose, huh?" Gerry's voice was finally heard in Septi's ears. Made the man who wanted to end her life gape.
"Yes!" Septi answered curtly. Septi ascertained. She's still pissed off to remember Gerry didn't show up to see her on the wedding day when he had promised.
"Why do you so cruel. What happened to you, Baby. Having trouble with your new husband?" asked Gerry worried. He has no idea if Septi was angry because she thought he didn't come to her wedding day.
"Find out for yourself. Oh, right, Ger! Don't ever call me again. You know I hate guys who lie like you the most! From this moment on our relationship is completely over!"
