Chereads / The Werewolf's Curse Amulet / Chapter 2 - 2. Seclusion

Chapter 2 - 2. Seclusion

She started to close her eyes and took out a small piece of paper that she called God's spell. A gust of wind began to enter the palace, getting stronger and stronger and filling this room. She started muttering incantations.

"One will rule over all! All will be ruled by one! All are strong because one and one is strong over all! She will die instantly followed by the death of her parents and then the kingdom will also be destroyed by nature."

"HA HA HA HA!!!" The sorcerer's voice boomed through the room making people cover their ears.

Along with a strong sound of thunder.

"God has answered my spell, this curse will last from today, my King. Now announce that I am the greatest magician among wizards of the human race or werewolves. Hahaha!"

Vorigon smirked in satisfaction at having accomplished his goal so smoothly, while the king and queen of Dhemous were filled with extreme desperation.

Fifteen years later,

Merle and a few maids had finished their lunch. Merle is a princess who when she was eleven years old was forced to always be hidden and move places with several female servants to hide and avoid the dangers that lurk at all times.

Teenagers are considered vulnerable to being attracted to the opposite s*x, King Redrick doesn't want his daughter to fall in love and develop affection for men, because of that Merle is avoided from knowing young men. Since childhood she was also never introduced to weddings or one of kind. Merle is better introduced to an environment where many women meet.

Teenagers are a very sad moment for the queen of Artemia. The queen is so sad because she has to be separated from her daughter to be exiled to a forest far from settlements to avoid the crowds of people, especially the boys' environment. Merle also felt the same way, she was crying, sad, disappointed to be separated and living far from her parents and the palace environment. She was surprised and not used to living simply in the middle of the forest.

"I'm tired of always being isolated from the crowd, what exactly is going on, Carlotte? I'm a big girl! I'm already four years old! Why am I being dumped like this?!" Merle sarcastically snorted in annoyance.

"You're not thrown away, my dear Princess. You was only educated to be independent, strong and become a noble figure when you grows up. The King and Queen are really love you! That's why they did this," said Carlotte.

"Aren't I a grown woman and deserve to know what the real secret is?" Merle frowns because almost every day she protests about this.

"Princess, this is your father's order. For the sake of the Princess, so that later you will be trained and believe that one day you will thank the King and Queen for instilling the values of life like this," added Betrish, another servant.

BRAKK!!!

She ran to the room and again slammed the door loudly pouring out her disappointed mood. For years she had lived alone and was only surrounded by trees, long loneliness, longing and sadness. She collapsed on her soft bed and sobbed as she buried her face in the pillow.

The maids could only let out a long sigh as they looked at each other. They, as usual, cleaned and tidied the dining table and then continued their activities. There was nothing they could do to persuade and soothe Princess Merle's feelings. That was all they always did, leaving Merle to settle down on her own.

"Hey! Are you a resident of this house in the forest?" someone's distinctive voice startled Merle. Behind her bedroom window she saw a strange face. Merle was silent and a little scared.

"I've been through here many times, I monitored it and I saw that this strange house was inhabited. Have you lived here long?" asked a young man his age. Merle just nodded slowly, she was awkward and confused because she never interacted with boys.

"You're not dumb, are you? Don't be afraid, I'm a friend. We can be friends!" the man reached his hand through the window that had been given the wooden bars.

"Wh-who are you?" Merle dared to ask even though she was reluctant to accept the outstretched hand.

"I'm a friend. Don't worry, I'm a good person. I go to this forest once every three days to look for wood. Incidentally, the wood at the end of it has run out, I combed a little inside and paid attention to this house several times. I'm Jerk Giavin. " He explained at length because actually he wanted to know more about this beautiful girl with very beautiful blue eyes.

"I-I've lived here for about four years, I was put here to practice independence and a sense of responsibility for myself for my future." Merle began to dare to slowly get up from the bed. She walked slowly closer to the window.

"Wow, what a noble goal. What's your name? When can you play? I'm here in three days to get some more wood."

"I can never play. I can't leave this house. I can be punished and scolded," Merle explained and she was too afraid to say her name.

"Who punished you? There's no one else here, apart from the maids who accompanied you, right?" asked Jerk.

Merle shook her head, "I have bodyguards and secret guards, my father said. So I'm not allowed to go anywhere and I can't go out on my own." Merle looked down.

"Have you ever been to a Bougenville celebration? It's a famous celebration around my village. My village is not far from this forest. Only children aged twelve and over are allowed. There everyone can dance, sing and everyone has fun." Jerk enthusiastically explained and Merle just shook her head.

"I haven't been to any celebrations since I was a kid." Merle looks very sad.

"Too bad, okay! I'll be here again, we're friends now, huh?" Jerk promise.
