Synopsis
I am Serised, a fairy that came to existence because desires made me necessary to exist so I could fulfill them. Today, I'll follow Ken and Shiela's story. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ken is in a slump from his career as a webcomic creator. He was once recognized with one work he had that got adapted in a movie. Sadly, due to his grandpa's unsupportive spirit, and his betraying brother, he can't find enough inspiration for his next piece; his ideas are getting no where. It all changed in an ordinary day, when he met Shiela, who's by his standards, a heroine-worthy college lady. However after a lot of encounters... "She treats me like a stranger everytime I meet her. Just, what is she doing?" Ken said to himself trying to figure out what is happening. Their encounters are like first times that let him see different personalities of her. Ironically, this puzzle-like feeling, drawn him in even more. He was curious, got interested, and couldn't help but be invested. "She might be playing with me, but I have my ulterior motive anyway," Ken said to himself justifying his pain. Can Ken keep up to this stingy 'stranger-ship'? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I am Serised. Wanna know what desire I fulfilled today? Ken won't know, but you will. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Notes: Upates are irregular for the meantime. Chapter 1 - Serised (Prologue)

"This is my new beginning."

-Serised

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"My home is once again full of life. I'm glad," I said to myself as I get up from lying on the ground.

I intertwine my hands upwards to stretch my limbs, then slowly slide both down as I exhale air of happiness from my mouth, leaving me a big smile.

Spreading my tiny shiny wings, it glinted my excitement out--painting the blank space that surrounds me with shades of green and orange.

I comb my shoulder-long hair with my two hands, straighten my wrinkled yellow dress, and dust off my light red shiny shoes.

Spreading my wings, I jump up and down, then freely let my wings lead me to every corner of my house, illuminating the place even more. I horizontally fly as if floating in the clouds, looking at my ceiling, putting my hands on my nape as pillows. I close my eyes, savoring the moment.

It has been so long since I had to fly with eyes closed on my own accord.

"I know what I'm doing though my eyes are closed!" I express my exhilaration.

It's far different when I was asleep, I felt hopeless and powerless.

I leisurely open my eyes and decide to go on the place where I need to be. Turning like a small hurricane--I flown hugging, holding, swaying every vine I could touch--until I reach the blinding light.

"Wow," I sigh to myself.

The world in front of me now was the same colorful world I enjoyed looking at. High trees waving towards me as welcoming gestures; the blue sky as clear as the sea; and a human being's house I see in front of me.

I am Serised, a fairy that came to existence because desires made me necessary to exist so I could fulfill them. If desires are not fulfilled, they become negative emotions that make people lose hope, that in turn, brings me back to sleep inside this tree.

I survey the landscape before my eyes, then notice two kids running nearby.

"Do you see that tree?" a boy says to his companion, pointing his cute hand to my house.

The boy runs closer under the tree, and a little girl follows him slowly.

"You mean, that huge tree with a lot of vines and branches?" replies the little girl, angling her head to view the tall tree.

"Yes. My mom saw this earlier and she was happy when she saw that it's shining like in fairy tales!" he says with dilating eyes.

"Wow, it's really shining and twinkling like the stars in the night sky," the girl says in awe, duplicating the boy's expression.

"So, you see it, kids?" an older lady's voice suddenly surprise them as she walks closer to the two kids.

"Mom!" the boy happily greets his mom.

The little boy hugs her mom and his mother stoop down in return, but was interrupted when the girl got their attention with her words.

"But, what does that mean? When the tree shines, what does that mean?" the little girl innocently asks, arching her thin brows.

The older lady smiles back at the girl's blunt question and tries to answer:

"Well, that means, something good will happen. Maybe not here; maybe elsewhere," she says before smiling again.

The little girl's face turns from a confused to exhilarated expression in an instant.

"Come on, let's go inside. The 'good thing' is in there," the mom emphasizes, offering her both hands.

The two kids share their excitement to each other, talking through stares. Then, they gladly take the mother's hands, and walk side by side.

My eyes follow them as they go inside their own house, placed across mine. I flash a lip-tight smile, reflecting their mood.

That's the same place where 'it' came from--the desire that made my house lively once more.

Ficus Indica, the name their kind come up with to call this mansion I live in. It gleams yellow light which shows off its vines and branches at night--or even in the morning for those who have the eyes to believe. The branches line up starting from top to the ground, overlapping each other that pass the exit to inside, forming a stair-like structure, like an obstacle course for a warrior.

For others, this tree is just one out of the trees in the whole forest with a mysterious look, but to me it's my resting place, a temporary lodging when I'm asleep. Also, the place where people tell me what their desires are.

"Something good will happen, that's true," I say in agreement to what the mom uttered.

I am Serised, but this is not my story. Nevertheless, I like to watch it unfold as I fulfill the desire that woke me up from a long slumber.
