The battle left its mark on the village. Whole houses were affected by the battle and had to be repaired. We all helped to rebuild the homes. Eventually, weeks passed before we were finished. In between, we trained with Brahm, who also settled in the village. ''The Zenith Kingdom will not let itself be spoken to so easily,'' Brahm replied to me with a severe expression. Brahm explained that the king of that kingdom was a stubborn one. ''You must be persuasive. If a whole war breaks out, even the kingdom of Zenith is not safe from danger. It would be best if you told that to the king,'' Brahm added, patting me on the shoulder with a smile. I nodded firmly. ''Nakasone is missing. We can't find him anywhere!" the Demi children called out to us. They must have played hide and seek, and Nakasone hid too far outside the village. ''Don't worry, we will find him,'' I answered the Demi children resolutely and read out a spell from the book that could make tracks more visible.
After casting the spell, a trail emerged that led outside the village into the forest. Only Onaki and I set out to look for Nakasone, the grandson of the village elder. The trail in the woods led into a cave, and two paths became 4. That didn't mean anything good. Something had taken little Demi. Entering the cave, Onaki cast a light spell to see what was in front of us. ''Onaki, it could be dangerous here. It could be a demon of the demon land that kidnapped little Nakasone,'' I whispered to her, holding my ground for a surprise attack from the demon. The trail led to a door in the cave. We opened the door and did not believe our eyes.
There was a whole labyrinth in this cave. Onaki and I stayed close together so we wouldn't get lost. We walked the path to the left because the tracks led there. Suddenly, a noise sounded, and a wall appeared from the ground, separating Onaki and me. ''Listen, Onaki, I will save the child and rush to you. Don't move from the spot!'' I shouted to her through the wall. However, there was no reaction to my call. All this was very strange. I now followed the footsteps of the demi and the supposed demon alone. ''Why did you abandon me, Aramoto?" a voice answered me. It was the voice of Onaki. However, the voice echoed throughout the maze, which was extremely frightening. ''I have not abandoned you! I will find you and save you. Hang in there, Onaki!" I then shouted through the maze. ''You are a murderer, a miserable murderer!'', suddenly I heard voices from my deceased family. My parents from this world and my wife and son kept throwing these accusations at me. I couldn't lose my mind, so I punched myself in the stomach as hard as I could so that the pain could distract me from the voices.
''It must have been the work of this demon who lives in this labyrinth. I must find him and save the Demi child. Onaki is already waiting for my return!'' I whispered to myself. On the walls, mirages of my destroyed home and family appeared, as they were being murdered in cold blood and without mercy by the demons of the high council. Did I have to endure these images a second time? Why didn't these images stop? I knelt to the ground and huddled into myself. Suddenly, an explosion sounded next to me. Someone blew up the wall. It was Onaki. She found her way back to me. ''Get up. This is all an illusion. Behind it is that demon. We have to kill him and save the child!'' she shouted to me and took my hand so I could stand up. Back in our right minds, we followed the tracks together to the end of the labyrinth and saw the demi boy named Nakasone lying unconscious on the ground. Next to him were dozens of skulls and skeletons. Presumably, this demon had several such children on his conscience. However, we arrived in time to save Nakasone from death.
''More food, how nice...'' a voice answered us, coming from a dark shadow. Slowly, a silhouette could be made out. It was a low-level demon of the demon race. ''We won't let you kill this boy!" I shouted and summoned my hell blade veins formed on my temple. I had enough of these demons and thought only of how to kill them all, one by one. With the speed of lightning, I raced towards the devil bloodthirsty and lunged for the killing blow without wasting even a second. My blow was so violent and full of hatred that it split the demon in two and divided the cave in two. The demon was instantly dead, and I walked up to the little Nakasone and carried him out of the cave in my arms. Onaki could see my anger and hugged me reassuringly in response. ''I understand your anger. I feel the same way you do. But please don't let your anger get control over you,'' she told me sympathetically. Onaki's voice reached me and made me wake up from my frenzy. I took a deep breath and sighed. ''You are right. My anger knows no bottom. I must be more careful, Onaki.'' I answered her and stroked her head. My blow with the blade of hell created an artificial exit from the cave, and we took it to escape the cave.
