Chapter 1 - 1. Intro to My (New)Life

Hello there. The name is Miriam Alinur, daughter to Duke Marx Alinur and heiress apparent to the title. I am unique in the fact that I am not just a simple noble girl, but rather a reincarnator! Wowwed, right? Yeah, I am so damn unique. I have been reborn in the world of my favourite VRMMO, Fantastasia, and was at some point unbelivably excited to be here. Imagine, your favourite fantasy world, open for you to explore and see with your own two feet and eyes!

As a baby others were shocked at my smarts, my mother thought I was some genius, while my father looked forward to see my growth in the future. The maids loved me and I had ample friends even as a toddler. People found my personality interesting, and some hated it, while some liked it. I had the looks too, from a baby's age. beautiful, with flowing straight black hair with a matching pair of eyes. My skin was tan coloured at birth, like my parents, and I was quite a big baby even then.

I found my height shooting upwards at ten years old, and by thirteen had reached the average height for adult women in the kingdom. I am a bona-fide giantess. I have never been athletic, but this body was fit and healthy and I took well to exercise. My breasts are moderate to small, something I am very thankful for as they don't inhibit my movement, though my hips are wide and my thighs thick.

I was reborn with the belief in mind that I would one day leave my home, like a fledgeling bird, and explore the world and its countless glories in earnest.

Alas,

Alas I am born again unlucky, cursed to be trapped in this hell-house with my hell-family. They are loathesome people, they are. My father, Marx, is a cruel bastard. Mean like no other, he is ruthless in business and social life. My brothers, of which I have six(imagine!), have been all twisted by his cold and no-nonsense personality. To them, I am a threat of which must be dealt with to become heir apparent to the title of Duke.

They are not much of the problem. I am saddened that my father is so awful, but he is at least fair. He at least shows me love and affection, even if only in tiny gestures and the swift hugs of departure he gives me in between his barrage of dissapointed remarks and poor attitude. My mother is the problem. She is not just cold. Not just unforgiving. She is like a machine, built to move in rigid cycles obeying clauses and routines. No love has been shown to me from her, as long as I have been born. She strikes and screeches at me for every little mistake, she ties me down as punishment and lashes me. Loathesome. Truly loathesome.

And with that, I now introduce the events that would alter the course of my fate forever. It began one night when a knock came at our door. A group of dwarves, five in fact, with more alleged to be in tow. It was Aurus, dwarven business partner of my father and long-time friend of his. The two began an under-the-table money laundering scheme when my father was young, and had been close contacts since. Aurus came with news: his office had been attacked and his safety threatened. He asked my father to provide him and his brother and his brother's disciples shelter, as they would surely be attacked without the force of my father's clout backing him up.

The deal was struck at some point that night, and Aurus, his aides, his brother and his brother's students began to live on the property. Aurus and his aides were given high class guest rooms reserved for festive occasions and high class guests, while the Brother and students got a spacey, unused barracks building. Aurus is of no importance to me, and his tenure at our estate has left me with no impressions. It was his brother Ferragus who was important.

Master Ferragus is a smith. A damn good one too. I encountered him once, when I ran away from my mother for a moment to escape the beratement, and found him in the forge while he taught my father's smiths. I found his forgework spectacular, and was entranced by his sheer persistance to his craft. I returned often, to watch, and would spend hours looking as the powerful old dwarf pounded at metal, and forged blade from molten steel. It was amazing, an inspired me greatly during the worst moments of this new life of mine.

On one day in particular, it struck me to enter his forge and ask him to teach me. And it was this action that set me on the path of smithing, and so began my tale.
