*Present, Audra's POV*
The last twenty-four hours were a blur.
After the conversation with Chris, my mind worked miles per hour. I turned off everything in my studio, silly me that thought I was gonna be able to go back to work as if nothing had happened.
I paced in my room for a while, trying to burn out some of the pent-up energy that I seemed to have.
I tossed and turned most of the night, I'm not sure how much I slept, but I know it wasn't much. My mind kept racing with memories of Chris and me together from when we were teenagers, then to the moment he left and the months after. Then, as the mind always does, I ended up playing scenarios of what could have been; if he had come talk to me that day or simply if he would've never left.
I woke up really early, so I quickly took a shower, packed a few things and drove away, I didn't stop to have breakfast in the kitchen because I wanted to avoid any chance to run into Chris.
