Chapter 2 - Reality and Fantasy

In this world that's twisted,

Anyone can be whoever they want to be.

One can create a world of their own and be it's ruler-no even it's god.

In there, one can do whatever they want.

They can be the strongest being there is.

A being that controls lives.

A being that posseses power unparallel to the gods.

A being so beautiful none can compare.

That even the sun's light cannot compare to one's twinkling eyes.

But be careful. In every outcome there must be a payment.

There is always a payment when something is free.

Or as people say, 'When something is free, you are the product'.

In layman's term, there is always a payment.

Results of your grades are from your effort and time you spent studying.

When you study, it's costing you time and focus.

And when it comes to creating your own world, it's costing you your ability to sense and feel reality.

Of course imagining oneself being at the top of the cohort doesn't hurt much, but when that imagination and desire gets stronger, it'll start being dangerous.

Why?

When one believes that he is someone he is not,

When one starts to believe that he posseses something he does not,

One starts to distance himself from the reality he needs to face because the world he created is just that comfortable.

They have everything in that fantasy but nothing on reality.

When that happens, you are no longer giving yourself some time off from reality.

You are cutting yourself off and escaping from reality.

Every happiness you experience in your own world is equal to every tears you shed when you realize that it was not real.

The more happiness you experience living in your fantasy, the more depressed you will be when you come back to reality.

Your fantasies bring your spirits up but that also means that when you realize they are not real, the higher you went, the harder you'll fall.

That's why it's important to always keep track of yourself.

Never lose yourself.

Sadness and happiness are both sides of the same coin.

If you keep flipping the coin, you will eventually get the happiness you deserve.

But if you gave up just after flipping the coin a few times, you are giving up your chance to see the beauty of the other side.

Stop escaping reality and start to immigrate yourself in it.

Start accepting.

Be careful. Don't lose yourself in the midst of the happiness you can gain from believing something that isn't real.

Stop tricking yourself.

Although accepting something we do not ever want to accept hurts, it'll be better than living your whole life believing something that doesn't exist.

Because when your mind can't accept something, it deems it as 'incorrect' or 'fake' even though it is real.

So, before you swim on your fantasy, make sure not to go too deep and drown yourself.

Don't be afraid of facing reality.

It is what it is.

A shit ton of things will happen to you.

That's life.
