Chapter 3 - - AITO SR9

Suddenly bug like enemies rushed from the bushes towards Nallef. He pulled down on the trigger in a panic and began to fire. Guns are quite rare, not many people really remember how to use them. Nallef was one of those people.

It was odd at first but because the gun had no recoil he got used to it quickly. Nallef easily killed his enemies. The plasma like projectiles that came from the Hyper XV1 glided through the bug like creatures like a hot knife through butter.

The visor of the Rhino NK3 armour helped a lot with aim as he could zoom in at will and he could quickly move around to dodge or turn to shoot. Anything hiding in the dark bushes could easily be seen with the Rhino NK3 armour since it was also equipped with night vision.

Nallef checked the ammo bar which had barely gone down and after a second it refilled quickly. His eyes brightened with joy. These were surely Egzi on true blood level, maybe even divine.

He glided through the rest of the tutorial without a problem. It hadn't gotten much harder. He also wondered why he hadn't been asked to use the Aito SR9.

{ Quest: Completed. Gained [100]XP from battle. [100]XP from quest time execution. [100]XP from quest completion. Total XP gained [300]. Congratulations.

Nallef was about to look up at the sun when he saw a 24 hour digital clock in the top left of his visor. It was only around 13:00 so he decided to stay out and have fun with his new found strength.

He sprinted around in the Rhino NK3 which increased his movement speed greatly, as well as his jumping capability and stamina. On an opening that on-looked a vast plain and the beginning of the mountains he sat down and sat to enjoy the beautiful view and take a rest.

Then something came to mind. It never asked him to use the Aito SR9. "Hmm. Status window."

{ Player: Nallef Level: 0 Status points: 0. Stats: Strength-4 Agility-5 Intellect-3 Senses-2. Egzi: Rhino NK3, Hyper XV1, Aito SR9. Inventory: 26/#. XP: [300]. Active Quest(s): None. Lives: 10. }

"I have the Aito SR9, so why didn't It ask me to use it… Activate Aito SR9." A large sniper appeared in front of him. Like the Rhino NK3 and Hyper XV1 it was white with red accents and neon blue glows.

"Woah." Nallef sat there in surprise. This thing was as long as he was tall. He went down to a prone and aimed it at the mountain, the scope combined with the visor zoom was incredible he could see everything perfectly and up close even though it was kilometres away.

He pulled the trigger but nothing happened. It just stopped half way through pulling. "Is there some kind of safety on this? There wasn't on the Hyper.." He thought to himself.

He then saw the same bar of ammo just this time it was longer, and empty. He saw a switch above the trigger that read 'charge' above it. He flicked it down and watched the bar slowly fill.

He aimed the gun again waited for it to finish charging up to pull the trigger. Once it was fully charged he flipped charge off and got ready to fire.

He held down on the trigger for a few seconds and the front of the sniper opened up. An orb of neon blue plasma slowly grew in front of the gun for about a minute while the Aito made a light slowly rising humming noise before the orb shrank and disappeared.

The mountain he had aimed at suddenly had a large explosion that shook the earth, even though Nallef was 4 kilometres from the mountain and 20 from the sanctuary, he still knew it was felt all the way back there.

He dropped the Aito and looked in horror, the mountain he had just shot had a massive crater in it spanning 2 kilometres wide. It was at that moment Nallef realized what he just shot was a doomsday weapon.

He looked at the charge and saw it only went down about a centimetre on a bar the length of a ruler. He's sure if he held the trigger down, he would have wiped out everything he saw through the scope.
