Waking up to the dark void which I presume is my afterlife, I see a bright light shining infront of me. I could hear a voice echoing in my ears, I looked around, with no one in sight. I should be alone, or am I just knocked out hard enough and I'm actually alive in some form of coma. The voice suddenly got much more clearer.
"Child, can you hear me?"
The light shined more as a massive majestic creature appeared before me. Was this thing deer the one that was talking to me? Moreover, something about its face is familiar to me, I can't put my finger on it.
"I am the one you call Arceus, God of All Pokemon."
Wait a second? Pokémon? Like the Pikachu mascot mouse Pokémon? The famous kids game franchise that touched people's hearts for 20 years but I never get to play any videogames because my parents were anti-tech freaks! That Pokémon?! AND THIS DEER THING IS THE
THE GOD OF ALL POKÉMON?! And if that's the case, and if I'm really dead then this means...!
"I just been turned into a isekai protagonist entering a videogame world! SWEET!"
Arceus tilts his head a little in confusion, while I was too distracted by my own excitement.
"What's an isekai? Videogame world? What?"
Ah, I've heard of this story trope a thousand times, through friends. They would always tell me that my strengths would definitely fit as a role of a isekai hero. Well I mean, most of those stories involved either the protagonist having a harem of sorts, being characteristically plain but OP and dealing with a bunch of problems the protagonist falls into. But it always starts like this, a powerful entity that gives you a mission and powers before being sent off.
"Arceus, God of Pokémon right? You and I both know you summoned me for a reason, but why me specifically? I can't possibly be that special to most population of humans of my world or other worlds, heck, I'm not even the smartest person in my grade, so why?"
They stayed silent for a moment, and finally Arceus spoke.
"I don't know. You weren't really summoned here, I just sorta sensed you and I came over."
Well... that was unsatisfying, but it's probably the truth. Guess my isekai ideals just got thrown out the window. Arceus noticed my disappointment as I spoke.
"So what? Am I just stuck here with you?"
Silence fills the void once more and then finally Arceus answers.
"Yes, but not quite. I actually have a offer for you. But first to clarify, you mentioned 'isekai' and 'videogame world' are you referring to traveling to my world of creation?"
I nodded. Did Arceus not know what I was talking about earlier?
"Alright, then we are on the same page. Your soul is still intact, but your body is broken beyond repair, simply unusable. And I've been stuck alone in my own space with nothing but to watch mortals and other Pokémon live and die. So I would like to give you a brand new body made from my powers, in exchange, I get to travel with you."
I was a little confused.
"Like a starter Pokémon?"
"No, like inside your body traveling."
God wants to go inside me?! Is that even legal?!
"Please, it's been thousands of years! I'm so bored and my children never visit! Well I banished one of them, but still!"
Arceus has children? Maybe they are other gods out there in the Pokémon World. And being alone for thousands of years can be depressing. Wait, do I even have a choice? It's either I take the offer or I'm stuck here in the void. Either way, I'm stuck with them.
"Fine."
Arceus' face lifted up with happiness, when I approved.
"Great! Oh, and if you really want to make this feel like a mission of some sort, we can seek all Pokémon."
"Why all Pokémon?"
"You don't want to?"
"Well no-."
"Perfect, we can get started then!"
Before I could even argue back, I felt warmth flowing around me, like a comfy blanket. But all that warmth ended as soon as I felt it because suddenly I felt cold all around me like I was underwater. Wait, was I drowning? I couldn't tell, but all I knew was that I heard a voice in the background before my consciousness went back to slumber.
"Gotcha! My girl, are you okay?!
