Nicholas's POV:
Watching her eat was a beautiful thing. She seemed carefree, and she was eating, which was good. Although food has never been her problem since her arrival. She seemed to eat very well despite the circumstance or moment she found herself in. At least I didn't get to worry about her feeding. She was talkative, too. Nothing too in-depth, but we conversed about the food, the restaurant, and the mood was light.
When it got to the dessert, she started to take on the look of someone with the weight of the world on her shoulders.
My phone rang just before I delved into my dessert. I answered.
"Sir! We have got a huge problem." it was Zack.
"Speak!" I snapped into the phone.
Talia looked up at me from her oatmeal.
"One of the warehouses has been attacked. All the guards were killed, and the supplies were stolen. Everything. They made it a point of relevance to leave a message."
I let out a little huff, "What message?"
