Nicholas's POV:
It had been crazy. Choked up with thousands of businesses to handle. These were pressing issues that I couldn't neglect and the would take a while to get them done, so, I brought Talia along to one of my Estates. From her attitude and excitement, she loved it here. Except for her little stunt, she proved to be more than a good girl, and I decided to reward her for it by taking her shopping.
"Do you want me to change?" She asked me eagerly when I broke the news about taking her shopping. I was pretty sure she never expected that from me, seeing that she must view me as a monster.
People turned out the way they were due to situations that groomed them. I wasn't trying to justify my demons, but, notwithstanding, I didn't just come into this world heartless and inconsiderate. A lot happened to me; from getting constantly betrayed to surviving assassination and my loved one paying the price of my innocence. You couldn't be too kind in this world.
