Riley placed her hand on his shoulder comforting him. She simply realized what happened back there still loomed over Enzo; He did not have the power to save his love ones, that feel could way heavy on anyone. Even she knew the feeling of being helpless to save anyone.
Enzo wiped his tears, and started to laugh. He avoid sobbing too long and brighten his mood. "You were on your way to the chief house right," Riley nodded her head. The two continued to talk more as they walked to the chief house. She learned more about the ruthless killing of the cyclopes, they have murdered more than a hundred villagers in their attacks. The villagers ain't able to fight them off due to they do not have the strength and weapons to fight the cyclopes. They were farmers not warriors they were not able to fight the monsters.
Entering the chief house. Riley casually walked inside finding Lennox seating on his chair looking outside the window. She approached his desk. Lennox stood up from the chair looking towards Riley.
"Thank you for visiting me, lady Riley," Lennox murmured and smiled. Riley firmly nodded her head towards him.
She took two steps firm saying with a serious tone. "I want to know everything about those cyclopes. I want to kill them all." Riley looked disdain at the thought. She wanted to end the cyclopes rampage through the land.
Lennox slightly grinned admiring her attitude, saying "I know you have a kind heart that wants to save every life here, but you have to not forget your own life matters as well. You have to think about yourself before thinking about others. You are one of our saviours don't view your life to be meaningless when trying to save us." Lennox argued with Riley to not view her life as worthless, her was worth something in saving their lives. She did not need to give her life away by killing one cyclops when more could replaced with of them
Riley sneered her mouth knowing he spoke the truth. She turned her face seeming to be frustration by his truth. She wondered how strong were the cyclopes to have people speak so fearsome of them, Lennox was the second person to warn her from them so was Ryan warned her.
"Don't worry yourself my lady, we have lives with this truth for many years. The cyclopes have been plague here for a long time."
Riley eyes-brows shoot up with a surprised expression. "What!? This did not start now? You have been living like this for years, how is that?" She asked. Her information was lacking as she thought the attacks began currently.
Riley menacingly stared at the wall, she gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. She was angry at first with knowing the cyclopes actions but now knowing that the people of Thoosa have been living miserable. The knowing of that people were suffering for so long enraged her so much.
"Where has sir Ryan gone?" asked Lennox. Riley sulked her face with dislike.
"I haven't seen him all morning. He left early in the morning," Riley replied to Lennox. Lennox slightly smiled turned his face, firming his expression.
"What's wrong?" Riley asked with a worried voice. Lennox gently smiled saying with a positive look.
"I am worried for him, he is strong I know that but the cyclopes are on another level entirety. Those monsters have strength to destroy a house with one swing of their hands, they kill with a single flick of their fingers.
Riley face filled with excitement as a slight grin started to show underneath. The thought of fighting the cyclopes was getting more exciting for her. She wanted to fight them right away even now if she knew where they stayed.
Lennox explained the history of the cyclopes to the island Polyphemus. Since for 800 years the cyclopes have dread and killed the people of the island. The cyclopes came to the island disturbing the peaceful lives of the people. They ruthlessly killed the villagers dragging them to the brick of genocide. They were pushed to live inside of the forest fearing the massive giants.
Then a dawn came when the help of powerful allies joined them up. With the help of those allies some of the cyclopes were murdered and some were chased out of the lands to the mountains. Peace and prosperity was brought to the island but, every years the cyclopes clam down from the mountains to take their revenge on the villagers. Cause of that act adventurers would be hired to get rid of the cyclopes, a cycle was born from there.
"Why haven't the adventurers killed them all, if they did that the would end the cycle of those monsters. I don't understand why did they not kill them all?" Riley placed her hand to her chin looking confused. She was bother why the old adventurers did not killed all of the cyclopes back there, they had the chance to get rid off all the cyclopes but they did not do that.
"What's wrong, you seem to be bother by something?" Lennox asked noticing Riley puzzled expression.
"Something doesn't make any sense, why did they live they alive?" The thought of the adventurers living some of the cyclopes alive bother her. Riley murmured, "Maybe the adventurers weren't strong enough to defeat them all. I could see that happening."
"Oh, you think adventurers those days were weak, haha! I believe they were even stronger than those now. I do not believe this new adventurers to be strong like those in the past." Lennox faintly smiled clarifying his dislike of the new adventurers to the old adventurers.
"Why do you say that?" asked Riley. She looked at Lennox puzzled by his firm words.
Lennox sighed through his mouth saying, "This new adventurers focus on one ability when the old adventurers had more than thousands of abilities. They can't even fight a lower rank demon with their strength right now. They have so much room to grow."
"I can agree with that, they focus more on drinking and eating than fighting. But Ryan is a lot different than all of them he is a monster in disguise. His strength is on another level entirety." Riley slightly smiled picturing Ryan face inside her mind. She realized from the first time she met him that he was much stronger. Lennox snorted his face looking puzzled.
"You admire his strength, I see. Hah, I can see that too. When he first came here he was a small boy, but even then we saw his strength. He was a boy fighting ocean monsters. He defeated all of the monsters without any help," Lennox stated admiring Ryan strength as a boy. Ryan had been adventurer since from a younger age of 11 years old.
Being adventurer the person had to be at the age of 15 years old. Most humans excellent in their magical abilities and martial art skills at that age. Some of them would excellent later in their lives. Ryan strength and power was beyond anything and anyone.
Knocking, Ryan walked inside the room. He widened his brows as Riley and Lennox were both looking at his direction. He pulled out his hand from the cloak approaching the chief desk, he placed down a straw doll on top of the desk.
Lennox widened his eyes with surprised, saying, "Did you find them!"
"Yeah sure."
