James and Cadence went straight to the hospital after work. They'd gotten an update earlier in the day from Elaine that Charles was recovering well with no complications so far. Still, they wanted to see him as soon as possible. Cadence continued to reel from James's accidental discovery of what looked like a tryst between Amanda and Matt in the break room. As such, she sent James ahead and volunteered to grab them coffee from the kiosk downstairs. She just needed a few minutes alone after such an eventful day. She also couldn't help herself any longer. While she waited for their order, she sent a quick cheeky text to Amanda asking if anything interesting was going on in her life lately, followed by a winking emoji. A minute later, she received a reply with a blushing emoji and a promise to catch her up on all the details soon.
