Lilly Rose exhaled an exaggerated sigh and pushed the door of Pete's quarter wider to let herself in.
She ignored the way Pete raised his brows with her action. Her mind was occupied with the thoughts of Tiffany to worry about the disapproval in Pete's face.
"Why would you think it's Matthew?"
Pete's smug smile made her uncomfortable but she bit her tongue for she needed someone to talk that she could trust.
"Come inside. I'll make you some tea and you can tell me all about it."
Lilly Rose exhaled a relieved sigh when Pete dropped his teasing and made tea instead.
