"Why didn't you accept your husband's offer?"
Lilly Rose glared at Pete who was in the passenger seat. Since last month, she had insisted to drive herself once a week to school but Pete vehemently denied her request with the excuse of, she's his boss therefore he could not let her drive.
However, she was hellbent with her idea that after a week of pestering Pete, he reluctantly agreed but with the agreement that he would be riding with her on the passenger seat.
Lilly Rose was unhappy with the agreement but she took it because she knew that she could not force Pete to agree with what she wanted without him telling her on her husband.
She needs to feel the freedom. Even if it means chauffeuring Pete every Wednesday.
Freedom seems to be too elusive for her.
Lilly Rose sighed and answered. "It's not that I don't want to. It's just that, right now, I don't have the time. You know how busy I am."
