"I'll just wait for you here in the car," he said when he alighted in the driveway of Tiffany's parents' mansion.
"Are you sure?"
"You aren't going to stay for long, do you? I mean, Matthew will leave soon because he said he had a business trip to Morocco."
Lilly Rose turned red in embarrassment. There was nothing that she could truly hide from Pete. She clearly understood the wisdom of making Pete wait in the car, because by doing so, she could make an excuse not to stay for long inside the mansion. After all, she wasn't really interested to be here and she did not really need to hear the gossip about Reagan's accident.
She had heard enough and she had no sympathy for Reagan or his family about the incident that happened to him. With the trauma of what he did to her, she would say good riddance, hopefully he would not die but she would not mind him suffering for a long time.
