"Do we really have to do it today? Tiff and I will have dinner." She pouted, fastening her seatbelt. She knew about her appointment with the ob-gyn that her father had booked for her because he was paranoid about her health.
"I don't know how many times I have to tell Dad that not because grandma got cervical cancer I would get it too."
"Your mother had to do this too. You know what your father is like," he said in a flat tone. He has a hunch that whatever Robert's reason was, it has nothing to do with Lilly making sure that she would not get cervical cancer.
There was something off with how Robert was insisting for his daughter to meet an ob-gyn, a new one and different from Rosa's doctor.
"I know…and I will do it, but can I just do it another day?"
"Lilly, your father's secretary was the one who booked your appointment. My job is just to take you there."
