"That jerk!" He slapped the steering wheel as they passed by the red SUV. The driver who Pete was so pissed off was nowhere to be seen. He probably had entered the cafe.
Lilly just watched Pete with fascination. It was the first time that Pete lost his cool.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
Pete slowly turned his head and stared at her, blinking with confusion as though he just realized that she was right there with him.
"What happened to your phone? Did you get it back?" He asked, suddenly remembering the reason why they went back to the cafe.
"No. The phone was no longer on our table. The manager promised me that they will check the CCTV camera."
The car screeched, halting. "Why did you not tell me?"
"I did! You were so busy with your anger toward that hot guy," she smirked, knowingly at Pete.
"You did?" He mumbled to himself as he furrowed his brows.
