Matthew pulled his handkerchief from his pants side pocket and wiped his forehead for the unseen sweat that had been pestering him since he sent Pete home and insisted that he would be the one to pick up his wife.
He had to delegate two important meetings to be here and he realized that he was sweating more, standing here in the parking lot, leaning against the hood of his car than by any of the times he had stood up in front of important stockholders, other CEOs, and most especially, in front of his own father, the one he feared the most.
But no one could really blame his nervousness because it's the first time that he will face his wife after what happened between them.
