She pulled down her sunglasses that were resting on the crown of her head to cover her eyes as she stepped out of the elevator in the lobby of Reagan's apartment building.
The sunglasses were unnecessary because the sun had already set down on the horizon. The lobby felt deserted if not for the beautiful young woman in her twenties, sitting behind the concierge area that seemed to be happily content with her boring job. Must be part of the job description, to look happy with nothing.
She clicked her tongue and tore her eyes away from the other woman. She strolled right out of the glass door where a doorman was quick enough to open the door for her and tipped his hat politely, wishing her a good day.
