Lilly Rose dashed right into the open arms of an old woman whose eyes watered the moment she saw her.
"My little rose."
Nana Ruby gushed over her, caressing and kissing her cheeks that were tinted with tears. Guilt washed over her body when she recalled how she had changed her mind three times about coming because she did not want to see her mother.
Pete had told her multiple times that Nana Ruby was in the hospital since last night but she tried to harden her heart and refused to come. And now that she's here, she could not help but feel shame and guilt.
