Her right hand fumbled inside her purse and trembled when she found the canister she was searching for. She could not help the urge to look over her shoulders even though she knew no one was watching her—it was just her guilt making her paranoid.
Lilly Rose left the table to use the bathroom and the waiter just brought over her coffee and she had the opportunity to put the pills on her drink.
She didn't really believe what Reagan said but she would not know if he was really telling the truth if she would not do it. She ran her thumb on the tab of the canister, thinking about what could have happened.
She gripped the small canister tightly and before she could change her mind, she popped the tab opened and got a pill, and with a shaking hand, put it in Lilly Rose's cup of coffee.
