In the morning, I woke up from the smell of muffins and Millie's sweet morning kiss.
"Mommy, get up quickly. Grandma made your favorite muffin."
I opened my eyes. The sun was just right outside. Millie smiled sweetly and I stretched. The past couldn't be erased. Fortunately, everything was okay now. As long as everyone who loved me and everyone I loved was safe, I had nothing to complain about, right?
"Okay, sweetheart. It's your first day in kindergarten. Are you looking forward to it?" I remembered that today was Millie's first day. I wonder if she could adjust to her new environment.
"Of course. I can't wait to see if my new school has slides and little trains."
It seemed like she was really looking forward to going to a new school. I felt somewhat relieved.
