Adriana prepared to leave for the meeting which was scheduled for the next day.
She called her secretary over to her office to arrange some of the documents which would be needed for the meeting.
"Make it snappy Madison, we have to leave soon."
"Yea, Luna Adriana, I'm on it."
The moment her secretary left to prepare the files, Adriana added some little more files that she lingered for as references during the meeting and parked them in a little box.
Since this was her first time going out for business with her business partners, she wanted to make sure the launch of the new company was well prepared.
Adriana was still preparing her stuff when her phone rang. She quickly peered at the caller and, not to her surprise, it was Jeremy. This was the hundredth time he had been calling her.
For some reason, she thinks clingy men are out of her league. She had no idea if she would be able to tolerate her mate, if she had one. But for now, she doesn't see herself wanting any clingy men around her.
It was her fault for walking away in the middle of their sex without giving him reasons why she did that. It was terribly awful for her that she knew, but then, she still could not summon the courage to call him and have a talk with him, concerning what happened between them.
Left for her, she didn't want to see him again for fear that she might end up disappointing him with her words. She regretted ever starting with him from the very beginning. Ever since that day, she had been regretting it up to this day. She never should have done what she did.
While on the plan, Adriana decided to have a little nap. She had been so busy throughout the week that she barely had time for herself. Just as she closed her eyes, she suddenly found herself in the middle of nowhere. In a dark forest with no beginning or an end. This was. The scariest place to be.

Just then, the voice became louder and clearer. Slowly she turned around, and then she found her parents, smiling happily.
"Mom, dad. I missed you both so dearly."
"Why don't you come back to the pack? It needs you, Adriana?"
Adriana was quite confused. Why not her parents but the pack?"
"No, I can't go back there, you both should rather come with me. The pack is no longer safe for you to stay in. You have to come with me."
Adriana pleaded with her parents to come with her, but they refused.
"We can't go with you dear, that is where we belong. This is our home?"
Adriana shook her head, not agreeing to what they were saying, and just like that, she woke up from her little nap.
Adriana was terribly confused about the dream she earlier. She had never dreamt about her parents before now, despite knowing that they were already dead.
For the rest of the flight, she kept thinking about her dream and the fact that she was being told to come home.
Maybe she should visit the pack for her parents' sake.
She really needed to feel the memory of her parents again before they died.
"Luna Adriana, are we here?"Her beta announced.
She smiled happily. Not from the one she came from, but she was quite happy to be there anyway.
Adriana and her secretary were taken to a five-star hotel by her beta and a few of her guards.
She and her secretary were each given a room for the night, and so were her men.

"Yea, you are right, but this isn't home. You should try to loosen up a bit, Nate."
"Trust me, Luna, I'm as free as I can be. But your safety is my priority."
Adriana smiled. She knew that her beta cared for her. But honestly, she didn't need much of protection. She could very well take good care of herself.
"Can I come with you?"
Adriana glanced at him and contemplated whether to take him with her or not. Besides, it would be a waste of time telling him not to come with her, because he surely would.
"Okay you can come," Adriana tossed him the keys to the cars she was to drive, and he drove them down to a club, just as she had requested.
While at the club, Adriana sat in a quiet corner with a beer in hand. She watched those who came in and out of the club. She watched those who were dancing freely as though they had no worries in life.
She didn't have anything to worry about, apart from the dream she had recently about her parents. She actually didn't want to think about going to the pack she had earlier run away from.
By then she had no choice but to visit, at least, for her parents' sake.
Nate was having a drink at the bar section while having a chat with a blonde. She could tell that he was very watchful of her.
"Hey beauty, can I buy you a drink?" A hunky guy with a beautiful smile and brown eyes asked.
"You can. If you want."
