Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

I feel it now, the pain and agony when you loose someone you love. I think I didn't love or care for my dad enough to grieve over him, but the reality of me loosing my mom has just dawned on me, and I regret it, the fact that I was arguing with my mom when she left.

Aunt Gaia is not faring much too, but she has not completely broken down like me. She tries to console me and all but it's just not working, it has gotten so worse for me that i cry myself to sleep and I still do not get enough of it.

We decided to bury my mom a week after she died, but according to the Witches' ritual, her body must be taken back to her coven. I do not know if she would be accepted, but I know that I'll would do anything for her to go back home; I know she missed it, and I think it's about time I knew my grandparents.

The day for us to move finally came and my mind was racing with anxiety. I was anxious and at the same time nervous about what I would come across when I got to the coven, I've never been one to mix, I just hope that my nerves do not get the best of me this time around. We packed, my luggage was little and then Aunt Gaia took some of her herbs and spices along, and we begun our two days journey.

By night, we stopped at a dingy looking motel, we could see the shiny sign board from some meters away, and it read "moon bound". The appearance itself was putting us off, and the fact that it was too close to a pack's border, but at this point we had no choice. We walked in, and headed towards the reception desk. We took the key to our room, located it and made sure it was on the ground floor with the window was facing the highway and settled in.

That night, I dreamt about the grey wolf again. This time around he didn't chase me, he was patiently waiting for me in a meadow. it was very broad and delicately green, therefore it was easy to spot the huge blurb of grey in the grass. He was lying on his belly, his shiny grey eyes set on me as I moved closer to him. I didn't want to run this time, I was drawn to him, and I didn't even try to resist the pull I felt -- not that I could--. I sat beside him and snuggled into his soft fur and the he gave a loud growl of satisfaction while nudging me closer to him, and it was just what I needed, the embrace was so warm, comfortable and it felt safe, it was as if he knew I was grieving and needed him, because I just don't know how to explain what was happening.

It didn't last long though, because I was startled awake by Aunt Gaia as she was trying to repack our luggage. "what's going on" I asked while getting off the bed and trying to put my clothes on, and she answered me without pausing from her actions " I placed a detector spell around this motel to notify us of the presence of any wolf, and now it has detected many of them". She paused and looked at me, like I needed to understand the severity of the situation and said "Phoebe the fact that their number is as much as I think alone is dangerous, I think they sensed that you are a rogue and I'm a witch, and Phoebe, we can't afford to start a fight now, so we have to go". With that I didn't need to be told twice before I added speed to my movements.

We got to the receptionist's floor, dropped the key, rushed out of the motel and drove off " how long do you think it would take them to get to the motel before they come after us?" I say to Aunt Gaia with my expression full of anxiety. "not too long, but I put a cloaking spell on our car, that would distrupt their tracking" she replied, and with that we took off. Even with the cloaking spell I couldn't sit still, I was wondering if they were my former pack members and how they tracked us this far, I mean we are very far away from the pack and it's been some time now, oh how they must hate us.

With what happened, we didn't spend the night anywhere apart from our car, we only stopped for gas or to get food and by night we stopped by a roadside and slept in the car with Aunt Gaia's cloaking spell till morning, and then our journey continued.

By noon we got to the Nueva-seth's coven. I only saw a vast land of greenery, with trees here and there, but Aunt Gaia said it was a fake vision, a barrier to protect their home from the outside world, and the only way to go in if you were not invited is that you were a member of the coven, and then you would have to drop your blood on any part of the coven entrance.

Before I could ask the question of how we were going to get in, the barrier was cleared, and what came to my vision was a grand and tall gate, it was black, and it looked sturdy but the details on it was old-fashioned, that alone would tell you of the history the coven had. In front of the gate stood a line of men all in black, their features very hard and strong looking, with two women leading them, from the aura I felt from them alone, I could tell that their position in the coven was not low. "welcome home Lady Gaia". They all said in unison with their heads bowed. I stood there shocked because I never expected this kind of welcome party when we got back, I expected hostility and I never thought that Aunt Gaia was also someone of a high position, but now that I looked at her again, I guess I had always been wrong.

"We lost them again Alpha, and we can't track them further, there is some kind of interference", Steve my third in command came to report to me as I stood outside the hotel with the rest of the wolves. I was annoyed by that thought alone, the thought that my own mate is on the run away from me, and with a witch. Ohhh, but I know that no matter how far you run little mate, I'll still get you.
