The family Solerna has a long-going duty to protect its people.
That was what she had been told for as long as she can remember.
"Cherish your gift as it comes to you, for we will be relying on you in the future." That's what her aunts say.
"Be proud of your name, and don't anything stain you and this household." That's what his uncles advised her when she'd first heard the story of her ancestors.
She used to count the days that passed, in which she waited impatiently for that which would come to her.
The first that arrived was for her older cousin. With it, she charmed the crowd with her songs, calling for their attention, then their heart, then their minds.
It doesn't matter. She still had time to wait.
The next one to arrived was for her second cousin. His name taken as a nod to their surname, but his miracle allowed him to hear even the most softly whispered in the dark.
She was saddened; she had hoped her time will come soon after. But still, she waited.
She walked down the streets; the people knew of the weight her name carry. Yet still, she opted to stray far from the direction of a hypnotic song, nor does she opened her mouth despite the countless prod for her desires.
The days blend as was normal. She had started to hate the normal.
She knew that her time had passed, even is she does continues to wait.
People talk. Of course they do. But what can one do? The truth can not be bend no matter how one wishes for it to be different.
Maybe she had been too late of a miracle of her own, after all.
"Whatcha doing there, Little Lith?"
Lilith yelped and almost threw her notebook to the stream in her fright. She had came down here directly after talking with her parents to cool down.
"Aww, did I read something that is scandalous of our Little Li?" Sol cackled as the other scrambled to stand up.
"Screw off," Lilith griped. She has no patience for any of Sol's shenanigans right now.
"Ah ah, language there, little cousin. What would the adults say if they heard children cursing like that? And since when were you a writer?"
"Stop mocking me, I'm not a kid anymore, I'm seventeen!" Lilith started to march off, huffing and feeling even more irritated when she saw the other following her. "Stop following me!"
"Hey now, you don't have to be so scary. I just saw you brooding here when I was on my way and just decided to see if you got your feet stuck or something."
Lilith rolled her eyes. "Then let me be, since obviously nothing was wrong with me." She'll need to find a new writing spot now if she want to keep her annoying cousin off her back.
"Okay okay. Really you're much cuter when you were much younger. I remember you used to cling to me all the time, especially when we both down the town. You always called me sweetly back then, too."
If looks could kill, Sol would be a pile of ashes now.
"Why are you really here? Can't you find somewhere else to bother?"
"Take a guess. You were quite loud loud earlier that most of us heard the drama." Sol snickered. "Guess what's Luna's expression was."
Lilith wanted to throw a boulder to his face. She quickened her steps.
Sol jogged to keep up with her. "Hey hey, don't be so grumpy now. I'm actually here to help, you know."
"No thank you," came the quick reply.
"I'm just saying, I know of a good place for you to hide out. Your parents are still walking around the house looking for you."
As if to support his claim, he could hear her father calling for her name. Lilith groaned.
Sol smirked. "See? You really don't want to be found by them for now, aren't you?"
"And how can you even help me with this?" Lilith stopped to look at him. She feels like this is a bad idea, especially if it's coming from Sol, but it's true that she prefers to stay away from her parents right now after her words earlier. When she remembered Sol mentioning that most of the family heard her outburst earlier, the feeling of embarrassment rose as her face heated up.
"Isn't it a bit late to feel embarrassed right now?"
"Shut it," she hissed. "Where was this place you want to refer to? You know were not allowed outside the town when dark comes."
"No worries there. You won't need to leave the house because you'll be hiding under it." At the bewildered face of his cousin, Sol smirked and beckon her close, "Now listen well, cousin. I am going to tell you the direction of the best hiding place for you to brood in."

Author's Note: Too short, but most of the things I'm supposed to put here were inserted in the previous chap, so I'll take what I can write.
