CHAPTER 2
"Ouch! Did I hit a rock or something? How did a wall just come out of nowhere?"
Looking up, she was shocked that the rock which she jumped into was none other than the CEO of Kenwood Group.
GULP!
She blinked severally, but her brain was still trying to figure out how to get out of this. To worsen things, the cold gaze he stared at her with was already nerve racking. Not wanting to back down she stood her ground and decided to speak up.
"Sir."
"Be watchful." He peeled his gaze off her and looked over at his secretary's desk. He could see the visible gulp she did and the sweat that had begun to form on her forehead.
If only she knew he hadn't anytime for this.
"Sir, I'm..."
"Stella," his cold voice overshadowed Alexa's own, moving past her towards his secretary. "Who allowed those girls in?"
Without waiting anymore to embarrass herself, Alexa took that as her cue considering he did not bother with her.
"Umm, Sir, it was the Chairman. He specifically asked that I allows them in. And you would understand why."
"And you failed to warn me?"
"My apologies sir."
"Fix this if you want me to accept that apology. Get them out of my office."
"Yes sir."

Coming out of his car, Bryan gave a slight nod to his driver before looking upwards at the big mansion. Earlier in the day he received a call from his grandfather, ordering him to come to his place but rather than doing so impromptu, he finished the work he was handling first before heading for the Kenwood mansion.
He narrowed his eyes at the mansion before reaching up and unbuttoning one of the buttons on his suit.
He had not yet entered the house but he could already feel the tension and he knew this wasn't something he was going to be interested in.
Regardless, he could not disobey his grandfather.
Taking a step forward, he began walking towards the Lion's den like a sheep going to be slaughter house.
The second he got to the door, Bryan pressed on the doorbell.
He did not have to wait long as the door pulled open revealing a lady in her late forties, smiling brightly at him.
"Welcome home, Master Bryan."
"Thanks Aunty Rosita. Where is that old man?" Bryan asked, stepping into the house while she locked the door.
She giggled at his description of his grandfather. She had been serving the Kenwood family for quite some years now. She was already used to the grandfather and grandson batter.
"The master is waiting for you with the madam in the living room."
"Okay."
Making his way to where they were in the living room, Brayn had a shocker when he saw the old couple behaving like lovey dovey newly weds and holding each other's hands as they watched the news.
"Good afternoon Gramps and my lovely Mrs Kenwood."
"Tsk, stop flirting with your grandma," his grandfather spat out angrily. He was clearly still angry with him.
"Sigh, why? My grandma is beautiful and needs to be treated that way daily. Am I not right, Mrs Kenwood?"
"Stop deviating. It won't save you today," his grandfather chided.
"I can only try, Mr Kenwood,"Bryan responded as he came to stand in front of them.
"You are late Bryan. I told you twelve and you came by past twelve. You know I do not like it when you do not keep to time," said grandpa angrily.
"Peter, take it easy, you should cut the young boy some slacks," Mrs Kenwood said.
"Oh please darling. Stop pampering him. He is grown up now and needs to have a bride," Peter said to his wife.
"That reminds me. I sent you presents and you have not told me what you thought of it," he turned to Bryan.
"Them, you mean grandpa. You sent me girls for me to choose a bride from. Jeez pops is this the 15th century when parents choose brides for their children? It is inconceivable pops and for your information, I do not approve of any of them and I do not approve of your methods in choosing a bride for me pops".
"You do not approve of them and yet you are here telling me this at this time!" His grandpa stood up angrily as he moved forward to his wife and grandson who were standing together.
"Calm down Peter, mind your health, you are raising your voice and it is not called for," Mrs Kenwood reminded him.
"What do you want from me pops? I am not interested in getting married yet, please understand," Bryan pleaded with so much authority.
"No, you must get a bride and you shall, except I am not your grandfather. Well since you did not like any of those lovely girls then you will give me your choice and you will do so and bring her in three days time," grandpa spoke and left the sitting room angrily seriously displeased with the way Bryan is behaving according to his opinion.
"What? In three days time? But that is my birthday grandfather," Bryan shouted from behind his grandpa.
"Then that will be a lovely day for you to introduce your wife to your grandparents," he said and walked away.
"Oh my God, Peter," Mrs Kenwood exclaimed before turning to her grandson. "Bryan what will you do now my love, your grandpa is not happy."
"Grandma I am going back to the office and do some work. I have to leave here before I suffocate. See you later granny," Bryan leaves kissing his grandma in her forehead and walk out very unhappy and really stressed.
'I knew this wouldn't end well. How does he wxpect me to get a wife in three bloody...urgh,Bryan do not think about this. The old man is just angry. Once he calms down,he would forget. Afterall, I am his charming one and only grandson.'
He walked out the door of the living room, said his farewell to Rosita, before leaving the house and enters his car.
Once in, his they drove off heading straight to his office.
