"I cannot be implicated in this Jade, I hope you know that."
Jade was with Marcus, hiding behind the mall of a back alley. He had brought her a revolver which she had requested. Why she wanted one, he knew not. It had been a strictly no questions asked transaction.
"Relax. It is untraceable right?" Jade asked.
"Yes it is. That is what they told me."
Jade had escaped from Cindy's side so she could take part in this clandestine meeting. Now she was returning in the company of a deadly weapon with a shining silver surface.
"You better run off so I don't complicate your life any further than it already is," Jade suggested to Marcus. He nodded his head and then went away, face partially covered by his hoodie.
Jade was moving on to the next phase of the mission. Her own phase with plans she had compartmentalized everyone else. Only she was privy to them.
