Jake stepped inside a place so unfamiliarly familiar. He had been away from his apartment that as he walked in with his suitcase it seemed as if he was moving in. He looked around the place and saw the evidence of a lack of change, his furniture was how he had left it. The more he dwelt on it, the more he realized the change had taken place inside of him. But there was a notable change within the house that he could notice, the place had grown bigger and more spacious. Or perhaps he had shrunk. How could he not when Cindy had left?
He went to the bedroom and put his suitcase away. He then came and threw himself onto the bed. Gazing at the ceiling, mixed thoughts and feelings hovering all over making him even more and more unsure of himself. He was feeling vulnerable. Why he was, he knew not. He just felt it.
