"Stop making a bigger fool of yourself than you already are Jake, let him go. Now!" Cindy commanded.
The whole restaurant stood still and held its collective breath as a tussle seemed imminent. Jake was pretending to be strong, he just intended to scare off this imposter of a man who thought he had the right to the attentions of his girl.
"Is something the matter here," a giant of a man approached from Jake's blind side. He was the restaurant manager.
Jake had been solely focused on radiating fear into his opponent. The muscles on his face had been assigned positions, positions they were not to abandon unless compelled.
"Let him go Jake. Let him go and get out of here. Otherwise, you and I are done. Forever."
