He had tried as much as he could to restrain himself and stay true to his mother's instruction, but the curiosity within him was killing him. He needed to know, to fill the gaps inside of him. He needed roots within the ground he stood on. Maybe then, he would feel less of the space that filled the inside of him. But his mother, for her own reasons, had with strict and clear orders forbidden any contact. But here he was at their door with his hand up, about to knock.
He imagined the fallout if his mother was to know. And so his hand hung suspended as he drew in a deep breath that was to determine the next course of action. Either he would go for it or be sensible towards the wants of his mother.
